The NBA is known for having great mobile apps. But what is a large professional sports organization supposed to do when a new mobile platform launches after the season is already underway? They build a new app in time for the playoffs and show just what can be done when the clock is winding down and you’re out of time outs.

Solution
Cypress and NBA Digital launched the official NBA Playoffs app for Windows Phone 7. Utilizing a number of constantly updating data feeds, the application keeps fans up to date with real time game information, scores, and video for every game in the playoffs. Fans can also dive down into the statistics of a game, including stats down to the individual player or across a particular series.

The application also serves up video streams of game highlights, recaps, and league content to let fans watch high resolution video of their favorite teams and players – much of which is published during the game. In addition, the app was launched with full analytics integration, utilizing Localytics for usage tracking, allowing Cypress and NBA Digital to measure actual usage data to further improve and refine the experience.​
